Spay/Neuter Program:
Pet overpopulation in our county has reached the critical point. Every year, millions of animals are euthanized in shelters across the country for the simple reason that the facility that is housing them no longer has room. The single most important thing you can do to make a difference is to spay or neuter your pet.
PAWS is thrilled to offer our FREE SPAY/NEUTER VOUCHER PROGRAM. Everyone in Teton County, WY is eligible to receive financial assistance for this very important surgery. Through a partnership with our local vets, PAWS will pay all the costs associated with the procedure. Because this is an expensive initiative PAWS can only offer vouchers to people who have lived in the valley for at least 1-year.
With your completed application PAWS requires one of the following forms of proof of residency: a lease, a mortgage stub, a pay check, a utility bill or a cell phone bill that shows your local address. We require a copy from 1-year ago and one from the current month.

In the United States, thousands of puppies and kittens are born each day because of the uncontrolled breeding of pets. Stray and abandoned animals add thousands more offspring to the population. The result is a huge number of dogs and cats for whom there are no homes.
The single most important thing we can do to curb this problem is to spay or neuter our own pets. Secondly, by implementing a community-wide sterilization program, we can stop high reproduction rates and decrease the number of animals that end up at our local shelter.
On any given day, there are over 60 homeless animals at the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter. Only 30-40% of the animals that come to the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter are spayed or neutered.
Spay or neuter surgery carries a one-time cost that is relatively small when one considers its benefits. It's a small price to pay for the health of your pet and the prevention of more unwanted animals. Please call PAWS today to get your FREE voucher at 734-2441! .
