Meet the board:
Anna Adams
Originally, from Washington State, Anna moved to Jackson in 1991. It is the familiar story of a desire to ski for a couple of years, and then choosing to stay. While dogs were always a part of her life, finding a home in Jackson where she could have a dog was difficult. She would “borrow” friends' dogs for her outdoor adventures. Seven years ago, she become the proud mom of a rescue dog named Spud, who loves to run and hike. She believes PAWS makes a difference in helping dog-friendly Jackson and truly enjoys serving on the PAWS Board.
Lisa Caranza-Habib
Lisa, originally a Connecticut Yankee moved to Jackson in 1989 to ski, bike, hike, and enjoy the Mountain lifestyle. In 1993, she opened up an architectural firm in town, but was still renting and was not allowed to have pets. Soon she was able to buy a home and within three months of moving in, she brought home Zaque, her second Portuguese Water Dog (PWD) and the love of her life. Zaque was taken by cancer, but soon she and her husband Rich, added two new pooches to their home; Beauregard a pound puppy, and Pilot another PWD. Lisa and Rich have a deep love for dogs and all creatures, which drove Lisa to join PAWS. She looks forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of our organization.
Michael Faraday
Mike, a former “flatlander” was born and raised in NYC and spent 20 years in the aviation industry as a Pilot and VP of Flight Operations and Client Services. Mike is a founding member of the PAWS RDOG group and spends time volunteering for numerous organizations in the valley. He is looking forward to helping PAWS continue to be a force for good and good dogs in Jackson Hole.
Maria Hayashida
Maria and Max have a family of alaskan huskies and an old, but wise, Coney. After living in the middle of a National Forest with 25 huskies without any utilities, and then experiencing the Iditarod, Maria was ready to give Coney, then eight years old, his own special event in 2001 - the Coney Classic Fun-Jor. It is a fundraiser for worthy causes: PAWS and the Jackson Animal Shelter always being two of the annual beneficiaries. She founded SafePAWS, a collaborative effort between PAWS and the Community Safety Network in 2006. She works as a leader for Grand Teton National Park's Trail Crew, focusing on recycling and anti-idling programs and dreams of the day when the Park's trails are accessible to all wildlife-friendly canines, large and small. She enjoys travelling to places from Alaska to Argentina with her huskies, skiing, climbing, and reading for Fight Club, her book club.

Alli Noland

She has a houseful of large animals, that otherwise might be homeless, including a 165lb Malamute that she rescued from a Meth lab in Montana, a 17 lb cat that came from the Star Valley Shelter and another smaller cat that she adopted from our very own Jackson/Teton County Shelter. Alli is excited to be on the PAWS board because she feels that PAWS’ reputation for reaching out to animals and their owners is exemplary.
Diane Peterson, President
Diane Peterson has been a Jackson resident for over 13 years. She and her husband, Cary, are the proud parents of two four-legged children – Saxon the lab and Olive the pug, who are loving sisters and rambunctious rivals. Diane has been actively involved with PAWS for over three years and is a founding member of the PAWS RDOG group.
Kathleen Roe
Kathleen, who has just recently earned her lifetime pass at The Jackson Hole Mountain resort for 20 years of full time service joined PAWS because she attended an RDOG meeting and felt PAWS was making great headway in promoting responsible dog ownership.
